Our U16 girls claimed their second trophy of the season tonight in Cragg with a 1-0 win over Shannon Town in Cragg. Both teams were level on points coming into this last game so a win for either side would secure the title. Shannon Town started strongly but Tulla withstood the early pressure and grew into game. Tulla created some chances and eventually a goal from Sarah O'Donnell from a corner made the difference. Tulla held this lead for the rest of the game and were perhaps unlucky not to add to it.
Tulla team on the night: Aimee Nolan, Ava O'Donovan, Megan McGrath, Niamh Stones, Eabha McNamara, Juliette Purcell, Caoilfhionn Perill, Emily Perill, Ruby Horan, Amy Byrnes, Ava Guilfoyle, Kate Higgins, Sarah O'Donnell, Aoibhe O'Leary, Ada McMahon
Missing on night: Sadhbh Cooney, Ciara Robinson, Aoife Boyce, Abi O'Doherty - all four contributed hugely over the season

Conor McFadden of the CSSL presented the trophy to Tulla captain Caoilfhionn. Our Tulla captain thanked Tulla Utd for their continuing support of girls soccer in the club, the CSSL for their organisation of competitions, the referees over the season, the Tulla parents for their huge efforts and finally Shannon Town for a great sporting contest.

Well done girls!
