Tulla AFC 2 Vs Croom United 0
A hotly contested affair took place at the Cragg on Saturday as Tulla's u14s fought their way into the 4th round draw.
The game started brightly with Tulla playing nice football without creating a killer chance. After 20 minutes the game sprung to life when Alex Maher played in Danny Madden who beautifully finished into the top corner. Croom pushed on to try grab an equalizer before half time, but were caught on the break. A lovely through ball by Noah Milsted again sent Danny free to slot home his second.
The second half was feisty from the off, with both teams giving it their all. Tulla continued to create chances with Noah, Finn Harrington and Alex all forcing saves from the excellent Croom keeper. Midway through the half Tulla were awarded a penalty for a challenge on Mikey Molley. Sadly the conversion was unsuccessful. Croom pushed forward late to try salvage the game but were rebuffed by the excellent partnership of Harry Dunworth and Cillian Cleary, and sure hands of Matthew Nash. Tulla saw out the 2nil victory and will play St. Brendan's Park of Tralee in the next round.
Thanks to Croom United and best of luck in the rest of your season. Also thanks the all parents that contributed to the after match refreshments.
Matthew Nash, Finn Harrington, Harry Dunworth, Cillian Cleary, Jake Maher, TJ Ringrose, Niall O'Connell, Cian Murphy, Mikey Molley, Noah Milsted, Alex Maher, Daniel Madden, Evan Power, Oisin Lovett.
