Youths league result :- Avenue Utd 0 : 2 Tulla Utd.
Following our exit from the FAI youths cup at the round of 16 stage and exiting the Munster youths cup at the quarter final stage, our Youths side were back to domestic action this afternoon with our second league game of the season. We travelled to Roslevan in the hope of making it 2 wins from 2 where they took on Avenue Utd who had, in their previous game, beaten Bridge Utd. We needed to be at our best and got off to a blistering start, with the woodwork saving Avenue twice in the early exchanges.

After 15 minutes we took a well deserved lead Adam found himself free at the back post to head home a Darragh B corner. Credit to the home team, they responded well and got themselves into the game. They could well have been level but for Gearóid in goal who, at full stretch, needed every inch of his height to deny Avenue an opener.
It was his first of 2 brilliant saves over the 90 minutes from a keeper that’s on top of his game and needed to be today. Adam got his second with 10 minutes remaining and we were able to see out the final moments without much pressure. Our defence made up of Conor O B, Darragh W, Conor McF and Glen were outstanding today. Rory & Frankie on the flanks, Adam, Conor W & Darragh B up the middle and Ronan up top worked tirelessly to break down an impressive and new look Avenue Utd.
