Today, we had our first friendly of the year on a sun-drenched pitch at Cragg against Newmarket. The away team started strong, but our lads grew into the game and began to take control with good possession. Our keeper, Ciaran Fleming, made some excellent saves in both halves. All players gained vital minutes on the pitch today, and our five replacements at half-time kept the pressure on our opponents, with Conal Mcnamara and Matthew Boyce involved in key moments.

Michael Olumuyiwa was a constant threat and scored his goal in the second half. Newmarket responded quickly. Tulla kept pushing, but a draw was a fair result on the day.
Well done to all the lads; a tremendous effort was put in, and plenty of talent was on display.
