Our U13 Boys Blue Team completed 7 wins out of 7 against a strong Fern team in Cragg on Saturday morning which clinched the U13 Boys League Division 3 title.
The lads knew before kick off a victory would secure the title.
After a long break in fixtures for this team, the Tulla lads started strongly and some half chances eventually led to a corner being converted to a goal by Gareth McDonnell at the back post. Luke Hassett soon added a second and it looked like the Tulla Boys were comfortable, but Fern had other ideas. They rallied and scored 2 goals to make it 2 all at Half time.
The introduction of some fresh legs at half time added the intensity that Tulla needed to secure the win, and the first 10 mins of the half was wave after wave of Tulla pressure and chances until eventually Ryan Vaughan managed to connect with a Cj Doherty cross from the right.
Fern still weren't done, and after a mixup in the Tulla defence their centre forward slotted home their third.
Tulla once again turned up the heat and goals from Steven Kelly and Weyinmi Emiko sealed the win and league for the East Clare lads.
Thanks to all involved with the u13s group, Blue and White, players, fellow coaches, parents, the u12s lads who have always been available and the support received from the club. The boys on both Blue & White Teams have worked hard for this and hopefully are not done yet this season.
The attention now switches to the Div 3 & Div 4 cups with semi finals for Blue & White Teams next weekend
