It was a busy weekend for the u13 Boys group that ended in both teams winning out tough semi finals.
Our Blue Team were first up at Cragg v Moher Celtic in the Division 3 semi final on Friday night. Tulla started well and applied the pressure from the off, and after some good chances, that man again.. Luke Hassett, scored the opener.
Moher lifted themselves and applied their own pressure and after a series of corners and half chances, eventually scored the equaliser before half time.
Tulla rallied again in the second half and took control of the game again. All the pressure eventually led to a Finn O Driscoll 'worldie' from the right hand side of the box that nestled in the left corner of the net.
Moher again pushed on, but the tulla lads defended valiantly to hold on and book a place in the Div. 3 cup final.

Tulla Blue Team

Next it was off to Gort to play the Division 4 semi final against Gort on Saturday evening
Tulla White started brightly and had the better of the first 10 mins, eventually leading to a super team goal converted by Oran Rogers.
The game ebbed and flowed with Coole trying to get past the dogged Tulla defence and midfield. On the stroke of half time,  however, a penalty was awarded to Coole for a challenge just inside the box. Ben Fahy stood strong in goal, and unfortunately for Coole the penalty was put wide.
The second half started with tulla on top again, and sustained pressure led to another great finish from Oran from a brilliant Henrique Garacin cross from the right.
Coole did their best to get back into the game and applied some pressure and following a series of corners, were awarded another penalty when the referee judged the ball had struck a tulla hand. Coole scored with this one and the game was in the balance for the final 10 mins with Tulla holding a slender lead. Coole pushed hard, but Tullas defence remained strong and Tulla were always dangerous on the counter. The victory was confirmed in the closing minutes when a great counter involving Jack Horan and Leighton Purcell was eventually finished by Alex Walsh to book our second place in the finals.
Well done to both our semi final opponents Moher and Coole and good luck to both in the shields.
The season continues for the Tulla Boys, who were magnificent, with their slots booked for Cup Final weekend in Ennis in a few weeks time.
