Tulla Utd U12 Blue team took on Coole FC in the Shield Semi Final in the County grounds on a wet Tuesday evening under Lights.
It was Coole FC that started strongly and took the lead 8minutes into the game. Halfway into the first half Tulla equalized through Ryan Vaughan who put it into the back of the net after a CJ O’Doherty strike was rebounded by the keeper into Ryan's path.
Tulla started the second half a lot stronger than the first however Coole FC took the lead again with only 10 minutes gone. It was all about how these boys react now and that they did. 8 minutes after Coole took the lead CJ O’Doherty got us level when he was on the end of a cross from Oran Rodgers.
4 minutes later Oisín Collins put us ahead with a superb strike. Leo Walshe added to his seasons goal tally after being introduced shortly before his goal when he got on the end of a lovely run by Oritseweyinmi Emiko.
With 2 minutes left in the game Weyinmi got the goal he deserved when he hit the ball from way outside the 18-yard box and lobbed the keeper *5- 2* . Hard luck to Coole FC.
Shield Final against Bridge Utd awaits these boys.
It was great to give game time to three of Tulla Utd U11’s James Hurley, Cian Vaughan and Oisin O’Keeffe who didn’t look one bit out of their depth playing up.
