An All-Clare 3rd Round National Cup tie took place in the Cragg Sunday 02nd November. Tulla Utd 2013 Boys welcomed Shannon Town. With three teams from Clare winning the day before and getting into the 4th Round, it was down to these two teams to see who would join them.

An unfortunate fixture for Clare soccer in this tournament however fantastic achievement for the CSSL to have four teams in the 4th round.

Tulla Utd took the lead within 2mins of the game when Oran Rodgers was fouled around the halfway line after playing the ball through to Ryan Vaughan. Luckily for Tulla advantage was played as Ryan put the ball onto the corner with a lovely finish. 1-0. Tulla extended their lead 12mins later when Oritseweyinmi Emiko chipped the rushing keeper to make is 2-0.

The second half started the way the first half ended with Tulla putting a lot of pressure on Shannon Town from the start and were unlucky not to get their 3rd. However, Oritseweyinmi Emiko did get that sought after 3rd 3mins later from a through ball by Ryan Vaughan. 3-0.

Seanie Hayes further extended the lead 12mins later. 4-0. CJ O’Doherty got the goal he deserved 10mins later to make it 5-0.
With a minute to play Tulla won a corner which was beautifully delivered by Oisin Collins and headed in by Ryan Vaughan.

With the combined interchanging force of Jack McMahon, Noah Finnerty, John Scully, Oran Rodgers, Ryan McNamara, Conall O Murchu and Ruadhan Fogarty, Tulla were able to get through to the next round with a clean sheet. 👏

Another exceptional performance by this talented group of players. Tulla Utd welcome BT Harps from Templemore in the 4th Round.
Best of luck to Shannon Town in their preparation for next season when we will meet in our first year in a competitive league.
