It was a game the boys had been waiting for since they first joined Tulla Utd Academy. First CSSL League competitive game. Tulla Utd U13 Division 1 Team welcomed Newmarket Celtic to the Cragg Friday 03rd April. Tulla won 4 -2. Tulla were on top in the first half controlling the game and going 2 - 0 up with 10mins left.
Goals by Paudí Morris with a lovely header at the back post from a Oisín Collins cross and new signing Isaac O'Connor from a powerful free kick from approx 30yards out. Newmarket Celtic got a goal back with 2 minutes to go which started to turn the game until Isaac got his second goal from a header at the back post right on the stroke of halftime. 3-1 halftime. Newmarket got back into the game in the second half and put a lot of pressure on Tulla and got their reward with 11mins left in the game. 3-2. For the remainder of the game the two team traded chances until Tulla put the game to bed in the last minute of the game when Ryan Vaughan sent a delightful cross into the box for Weyinmi Emiko to head into a open goal. 4-2 win.
It was a team effort win 👏 Thanks to the ground people for ensuring that we had a pitch to play on after all the bad weather over the last 48 hours.
