A performance full of character and never say die attitude saw our youths through in the cup tonight against top of div 1 team Shannon Town.

With defences dominating, it was 0:0 at HT. early in the second period ST took the lead from a well struck free kick. Ten min later it was 0:2. Looking grim for the boys but they weren't done, a free kick into the box saw Adam hit the post with a header, the rebound came back to him and he made no mistake to get us back in the game. On top now and pressing for the equaliser, we created numerous chances and it came when Oisin won the ball from the ST centre back and finished superbly to the corner of the net. We could have won it in normal time but not to be, 2:2 at FT. Extra time produced a few half chances but no goals so on to penalties. Super pens from Sean, Oisin, Eoin & Eanna saw us win the shootout 4:3. Brilliant performance lads.
